EXCEPTIONS TO POLICY

The university’s academic deadlines are clearly outlined in the Schedule of Classes each semester. Thus, the College of Arts and Humanities takes requests for exception to academic policy seriously. We consider exception requests in extraordinary and rare cases only. Submission of an exception does not guarantee it will be approved. It is expected that students assess their academic standing throughout the course of the semester and plan accordingly. To submit a request, select the ‘Type of Request’ below that best describes your situation. All exceptions requests requiring professor/instructor documentation must be sent directly from the professor/instructor to arhuexceptions@umd.edu unless otherwise noted.
